Logan Paul Chalmers was born on Friday, 24th March, 2000, in Dundee. The 5' 9 (10st 10lbs) forward signed for Kris Doolan's Thistle on Tuesday, 18th June, 2024, having most recently been with Dundee United. Aged 24, he made his debut appearance on Saturday, 6th July, 2024, in a 4-2 friendly win away to Glenafton Athletic. He scored his first goal for Thistle on Saturday, 26th October, 2024, in a 1-0 win away to Queen's Park in the SPFL Championship. Logan's club-list includes Dundee United, Arbroath, Inverness Caledonian Thistle, Ayr United, Tranmere Rovers and Partick Thistle. He's contracted at Firhill until May, 2026. |
In June 2024, on the back of his impressive form at Ayr the previous season, Partick Thistle manager Kris Doolan brought the 24-year-old winger to Firhill on a 2-year-deal, his first permanent move outwith Dundee United. As a talented youngster, the 10-year-old Logan joined his local team, Dundee United, where he stayed for some 14 years. He was a student of the SFA's Performance School at St John's RC High School in Dundee. Aged 16, he signed his first professional contract with Dundee United in July 2016 and, the following month, represented Scotland at under-17 level, playing against the Czech Republic. His first involvement with the United first team came in Seán Dillon's testimonial match in March 2017. His competitive debut came in the Scottish League Cup in July 2017, when he came on as a substitute in a 4–1 home win over Cowdenbeath. He scored his first senior goal in October 2017, a late winner against Linfield in a Scottish Challenge Cup tie at Tannadice Park. Chalmers was loaned to Arbroath in January 2020 and was capped by the Scotland under-21 team in October that same year. On 21 January 2022, he joined Scottish Championship side Inverness Caledonian Thistle on loan for the remainder of the 2021–22 season. He was then loaned to Ayr United in September 2022. After a successful loan spell at Somerset Park, Logan was recalled on 14 January 2023 amid speculation of a move to England and, just two days later, he moved on loan to Tranmere Rovers. On 19 August 2023, Chalmers he returned on a season-long loan to Ayr United, where he scored nine goals and registered four assists in 26 league games for the Honest Men, finishing as their second top goalscorer in all competitions. |
