Lindsay Hamilton was born on Saturday, 11th August, 1962, in Bellshill, North Lanarkshire.

The 6' 2 (13st 4lbs) goalkeeper temporarily transferred to John McVeigh's Thistle on Tuesday, 31st March, 1998, from his parent club, Queen's Park.

Aged 35, he made his debut appearance on Friday, 3rd April, 1998, in a 4-0 friendly defeat at home to Motherwell.

Lindsay kept his first clean-sheet on Saturday, 11th April, 1998, in a 2-0 win at home to Airdrieonians in the SFL First Division.

He registered the last of his 4 clean-sheets on Saturday, 2nd May, 1998, in a 3-0 win away to Dundee in the SFL First Division.

He played his last game for the club on Saturday, 9th May, 1998, in a 3-1 defeat at home to Ayr United in the SFL First Division, having appeared as a Jag on 6 occasions.

Lindsay's club-list included Thorniewood United, Stenhousemuir, Rangers, East Stirlingshire, Charlton Athletic, Stirling Albion, Clydebank, St Johnstone, Dunfermline Athletic, Portadown, East Fife, Queen's Park, Partick Thistle and Shotts Bon Accord.

Bio Extra

A loan signing from Queen's Park, Lindsay kept goal for Thistle in the closing games of the 97/98 keeping clean-sheets in all but the crucial last game against Ayr United. Signed for Stenhousemuir at the completion of that season.
