William Kenneth Brodie was probably born in Scotland, although his place and date of birth remain unknown to us. * The 6' 0 (12st 4lbs) defender signed for Davie Meiklejohn's Thistle circa Saturday, 15th May, 1954, having most recently been with Duntocher Hibernian. He made his debut appearance (as a goalkeeper) on Saturday, 25th September, 1954, in a 3-1 defeat away to Falkirk in the SFL First Division. There were no clean-sheets for Ken in his 3 appearances as a 'keeper, nor were there any goals for him when he was reintroduced as a midfielder / defender from May '56 onwards. He played his last game for the club on Wednesday, 19th February, 1958, in a 4-0 defeat at home to Motherwell in the Scottish Cup, having appeared as a Jag on 10 occasions. Ken's club-list included Duntocher Hibernian, Stirling Albion, Albion Rovers, St Johnstone and Partick Thistle.
