Joseph Abrahams was born on Friday, 28th January, 1876, in Glasgow. The forward signed for Thistle on Friday, 10th September, 1897, having most recently been with Glasgow Perthshire. Aged 21, he made his first known appearance on Saturday, 25th September, 1897, in a 3-1 win at home to Dundee in the SFL First Division. There were no known goals for Joseph during his spell with Thistle. He played his last known game for the club on Saturday, 6th November, 1897, in a 5-3 win at home to St Bernard's in the SFL First Division, having appeared for the Thistle on at least 5 occasions. His club-list included Glasgow Perthshire, Partick Thistle, Linthouse, Belfast Celtic, Distillery, Linfield, Glentoran and Ayr. Joseph died on Thursday, 4th May, 1961, in Alameda County, California, aged 85. |
