Jonathan Carter was born on Wednesday, 2nd December, 1987, in Glasgow.

The 6' 1 (12st 5lbs) defender signed for Derek Whyte & Gerry Britton's Thistle on Thursday, 10th June, 2004, having most recently been with Partick Thistle Boys Club.

Aged 18, he was listed as a substitute for the first time on Saturday, 14th January, 2006, in a 2-1 win away to Ayr United in the SFL Second Division.

There were no registered first-team appearances for Jonathan in his time at Thistle.

At December, 2019, Jonathan's club-list included Partick Thistle, Kirkintilloch Rob Roy, Pollok and St Roch's.

This centre back didn't make the first-team breakthrough at Firhill but was highly regarded in the junior game and captained both Rob Roy and St Roch's. In January 2020 he was voted in to the St Roch's team-of-the-decade.
