John Struthers was born in Falkirk, although his date of birth remains unknown to us. * The 5' 6½ (12st 0 lbs) defender signed for George Easton's Thistle on Monday, 16th May, 1921, having most recently been with Queen's Park. He made his debut appearance on Tuesday, 16th August, 1921, in a 1-0 win at home to Clydebank FC in the SFL First Division. There were no goals for John during his time with Thistle. He played his last game for the club on Saturday, 2nd September, 1922, in a 3-1 defeat away to Rangers in the Glasgow Cup, having appeared as a Jag on 45 occasions. His club-list included Queen's Park and Partick Thistle. We don't know where or when John died. *
