John Glen was probably born in Scotland, although his place and date of birth remain unknown to us. * The defender signed for Donald Turner's Thistle on Saturday, 9th May, 1942 (after a trial period), having most recently been with Maryhill. He made his debut appearance on Monday, 6th April, 1942, in a 3-1 defeat at home to Celtic in the Southern League. There were no goals for John during his time with Thistle. He played his last game for the club on Saturday, 11th September, 1943, in a 5-0 defeat away to Clyde in the Southern League, having appeared as a Jag on 17 occasions. John's club-list included Bathgate Thistle, Heart of Midlothian, Maryhill, Partick Thistle, Vale of Clyde and Hamilton Academical.
