James Robert Langfield was born on Saturday, 22nd December, 1979, in Paisley, Renfrewshire.

The 6' 4 (13st 1lbs) goalkeeper signed for Derek Whyte & Gerry Britton's Thistle on Thursday, 15th January, 2004, having most recently been with Raith Rovers.

Aged 24, he made his debut appearance on Saturday, 17th January, 2004, in a 2-1 defeat at home to Dundee in the Scottish Premier League.
