Ian Holland McCall was born on Wednesday, 30th September, 1964, in Dumfries.

The 5' 9 (11st 7lbs) midfielder signed for Murdo MacLeod's Thistle in October, 1996, having most recently been with Falkirk.

Aged 32, he made his debut appearance on Saturday, 26th October, 1996, in a 3-0 win at home to Falkirk in the SFL First Division.

There were no goals for Ian during his spell with Thistle.

He played his last game for the club on Saturday, 8th March, 1997, in a 2-1 defeat at home to Airdrieonians in the SFL First Division, having appeared as a Jag on 7 occasions.

Ian's club-list included Bellevue AFC, Motherwell, Queen's Park, Dunfermline Athletic, Rangers, Bradford City, Dundee, Falkirk, Hamilton Academical, Happy Valley, Partick Thistle, Clydebank and Largs Thistle.

Not often thought off as a Thistle player, McCall played a number of times under Murdo MacLeod during the 96/97 season but was unable to make much of an impact in a Thistle side that was on the slide.
