Ian Gardner Maxwell was born on Friday, 2nd May, 1975, in Glasgow. The 6' 3 (12st 5lbs) defender signed for Ian McCall's Thistle on Thursday, 12th June, 2008, having most recently been with St Mirren. Aged 33, he made his debut appearance on Saturday, 5th July, 2008, in a 3-1 friendly win away to Blyth Spartans. Ian scored his first goal for Thistle on Saturday, 23rd August, 2008, in a 4-0 win at home to St Johnstone in the SFL First Division. He scored the last of his 4 goals on Saturday, 27th September, 2008, in a 3-1 defeat away to Livingston in the SFL First Division. He played his last game for the club on Saturday, 11th September, 2010, in a 2-1 defeat at home to Stirling Albion in the SFL First Division, having appeared as a Jag on 78 occasions. Ian's club-list included Queen's Park, Ross County, St Johnstone, St Mirren and Partick Thistle. |
