Bio Extra

The holder of the record number of caps for Scotland at schoolboy level, Iain joined Thistle from Rangers during the 97/98 season and came to Firhill with a high reputation. With Thistle a club in crisis on and off the field during that season, Thistle being relegated at the season's completion, Iain was never really able to perform to his full potential at Firhill but signs of his undoubted talent were to be seen and he was expected to be a key player for Thistle the following season. It was a major shock, therefore, when during the pre-season build up he was sold to St Mirren much to the dismay of a large section of the Thistle support.
