Hugh James Stevenson was born on Sunday, 21st June, 1964, in Bridge of Allan, Stirlingshire.

The goalkeeper temporarily transferred to Billy Lamont's Thistle in October, 1987, from his parent club, Dumbarton.

Aged 23, he made his only appearance on Saturday, 31st October, 1987, in a 2-1 defeat away to East Fife in the SFL First Division.

Hugh's club-list included Linlithgow Rose, Alloa Athletic, Dumbarton, Partick Thistle, Clydebank and Clyde.

Signed on loan from Dumbarton at a time when both keepers were injured Played one game at East Fife, conceding two goals before returning to Dumbarton.
