 Harold Davis was born on Wednesday, 10th May, 1933, in Cupar, Fife. The 5' 11 (12st 8lbs) midfielder signed for Willie Thornton's Thistle on Friday, 1st May, 1964, having most recently been with Rangers. Aged 30, he made his debut appearance on Saturday, 2nd May, 1964, in a 1-0 win at home to St Mirren in the Summer Cup. There were no goals for Harold during his time with Thistle. He played his last game for the club on Monday, 15th March, 1965, in a 3-1 defeat at home to Clyde in the Glasgow Cup, having appeared as a Jag on 38 occasions. His club-list included Newburgh, East Fife, Rangers and Partick Thistle. Harold died on Tuesday, 26th June, 2018, in Aultbea, North West Highlands, aged 85. |
