Gregor McKenzie Stevens was born on Thursday, 13th January, 1955, in Glasgow.

The 5' 11½ (11st 7lbs) defender signed for Benny Rooney's Thistle circa Saturday, 1st December, 1984, having most recently been with Motherwell.

Aged 30, he made his debut appearance on Wednesday, 8th May, 1985, in a 1-1 win (on pens) at home to Clyde in the Glasgow Cup.

There were no goals for Gregor during his spell with Thistle.

He played his last game for the club on Saturday, 21st September, 1985, in a 2-1 defeat at home to Hamilton Academical in the SFL First Division, having appeared as a Jag on 7 occasions.

Gregor's club-list included Baillieston Juniors, Motherwell, Leicester City, Rangers, Heart of Midlothian, Partick Thistle, Brechin City and Dumbarton.

Bio Extra

Signed from Motherwell after spells with Leicester, Rangers and Hearts, he arrived at Firhill as part of the swap deal which took Jamie Doyle to Motherwell. However, he was unfit when signed and did not make his debut for almost six months. The following season he was unable to get a first team place, and left to join Brechin in 1986. Later joined Dumbarton.
