Grant Robert Murray was born on Friday, 29th August, 1975, in Edinburgh. The 5' 10 (12st 0lbs) defender signed for Gerry Collins's Thistle on Monday, 23rd June, 2003, having most recently been with St Johnstone. Aged 27, he made his debut appearance on Wednesday, 16th July, 2003, in a 6-1 friendly win away to Ayr United. Grant scored his only goal for Thistle on Saturday, 5th March, 2005, in a 2-1 defeat away to Falkirk in the SFL First Division. He played his last game for the club on Sunday, 14th May, 2006, in a 2-1 win (on pens aet) away to Peterhead in a League play-off match, having clocked up 146 appearances as a Jag. Grant's club-list included Heart of Midlothian, Bonnyrigg Rose Athletic, St Johnstone, Partick Thistle, Kilmarnock and Raith Rovers. |
