Gordon Burns was born on Saturday, 2nd December, 1978, in Glasgow. The 6' 1 (11st 6lbs) defender temporarily transferred to John Lambie's Thistle on Wednesday, 31st March, 1999, from his parent club, Ayr United. Aged 20, he made his debut appearance on Saturday, 3rd April, 1999, in a 2-1 defeat away to Arbroath in the SFL Second Division. There were no goals for Gordon during his spell with Thistle. He played his last game for the club on Saturday, 8th May, 1999, in a 2-2 draw away to Queen of the South in the SFL Second Division, having appeared as a Jag on 6 occasions. Gordon's club-list included Glenafton Athletic, Ayr United, Partick Thistle, Troon, Queen of the South and Peterhead. |
