George Thoirs Geddes Bertram was born on Wednesday, 2nd September, 1908, in Glasgow.

The 5' 9 (10st 0lbs) forward signed for Donald Turner's Thistle on Thursday, 14th September, 1933, having most recently been with Airdrieonians.

Aged 25, he made his only appearance on Saturday, 16th September, 1933, in a 3-0 defeat at home to St Johnstone in the SFL First Division.

There were no goals for George in his one-off appearance for Thistle.

His club-list included Dreghorn, Airdrieonians, Hamilton Academical, Partick Thistle, Queen of the South and King's Park.

George died in 1972, in Renfrewshire, aged 63. *
