Gavin Mark John Melaugh was born on Thursday, 9th July, 1981, in Derry, County Derry.

The 5' 7 (9st 7lbs) midfielder joined Gerry Collins's Thistle for a trial in July, 2003, having most recently been with Rochdale.

Aged 22, he made his only appearance on Thursday, 31st July, 2003, in a 1-0 friendly win away to Cliftonville.

There were no goals for Gavin in his one-off appearance for Thistle.

Gavin's club-list included Aston Villa, Rochdale, Partick Thistle, Glentoran, Donegal Celtic, Ballymena United and Lisburn Distillery.
