Bio Extra

Gallagher was introduced to Ian McCall (then manager at Ayr) as a kid as early as 2017 when his famous Dad, Neil Lennon, took him along to a coaching school. With Lennon & McCall being neighbours in the West End, the idea of the ThistleWeir Academy being the ideal place for Gallagher's development seems an organic one. Made his debut in June 2022, coming on for Harry Milne in a 3-1 pre-season friendly win at Alloa, and playing around 25 minutes in the left-back position. In competitive terms, the 16-year-old made the bench for a Challenge Cup tie at Falkirk on 23rd September 2022. In the close season of 2023 he signed his first professional contract, a one-year deal with top-flight St Mirren, and was loaned out to Linlithgow Rose halfway through his first season for a short spell before making a similar arrangement with Dumbarton in the transfer window of January 2024.
