Declan Gallagher was born on Wednesday, 13th February, 1991, in Rutherglen, South Lanarkshire.

The 6' 5 (13st 7lbs) defender joined Jackie McNamara's Thistle for a trial in July, 2011, having most recently been with Celtic.

Aged 20, he made his only appearance on Wednesday, 13th July, 2011, in a 1-0 defeat away to Motherwell in a Benefit match.

There were no goals for Declan in his one-off appearance for Thistle.

At August, 2025, Declan's club-list included Celtic, Stranraer, Partick Thistle, Clyde, Dundee, Livingston, Motherwell, Aberdeen, St Mirren, Dundee United and Ross County.
