David John McCallum was born on Wednesday, 7th September, 1977, in Bellshill, North Lanarkshire.

The 5' 11 (10st 10lbs) midfielder signed for John Lambie's Thistle on Monday, 3rd July, 2000, having most recently been with Stirling Albion.

Aged 22, he made his debut appearance on Monday, 24th July, 2000, in a 2-0 friendly win away to Portadown.

David scored his first goal for Thistle on Saturday, 25th November, 2000, in a 2-1 win at home to Queen of the South in the SFL Second Division.

He scored his second and final goal for the club on Tuesday, 14th August, 2001, in a 5-3 win (aet) away to Raith Rovers in the Challenge Cup.
