David Kenny was born on Friday, 16th November, 1962, in Glasgow.

The 5' 10 (11st 0lbs) forward signed for Peter Cormack's Thistle on Thursday, 15th July, 1982, having most recently been with Celtic.

Aged 19, he made his debut appearance on Wednesday, 28th July, 1982, in a 3-1 friendly defeat away to Linlithgow Rose.

David scored his first goal for Thistle on Saturday, 14th August, 1982, in a 4-0 win away to East Stirlingshire in the League Cup.

He scored his second and final goal for the club on Saturday, 2nd April, 1983, in a 2-1 win at home to St Johnstone in the SFL First Division.

He played his last game for Thistle on Saturday, 13th August, 1983, in an 8-0 friendly win away to Hawick Royal Albert, having appeared as a Jag on 27 occasions.

David's club-list included Celtic, Dumbarton, Partick Thistle and Apollon Lemesou.

David joined the club on loan at about the same time as John Buckley, both from Celtic. David played wide on the left which suited Thistle's attacking style of the time. He scored once in the League, against St. Johnstone at Firhill.
