Daniel Kellachan was born on Saturday, 24th January, 1953, in Blantyre, South Lanarkshire.

The 5' 10 (9st 8lbs) defender signed for Davie McParland's Thistle on Friday, 4th August, 1972, having most recently been with Blantyre Celtic.

Aged 20, he made his debut appearance on Saturday, 3rd March, 1973, in a 1-1 draw at home to East Fife in the SFL First Division.

Danny scored his only goal for Thistle on Saturday, 1st March, 1975, in a 3-2 defeat away to Celtic in the SFL First Division.

He played his last game for the club on Monday, 31st July, 1978, in a 3-1 defeat away to East Kilbride Thistle in a Benefit match, having clocked up 147 appearances as a Jag.

Danny's club-list included Blantyre Celtic, Partick Thistle, Hamilton Academical, Petershill, Glenafton Athletic and Lesmahagow.
