 Charles Smith was probably born in Scotland, although his place and date of birth remain unknown to us. * The defender had a short spell with George Easton's Thistle in the springtime of 1905. He made his debut appearance on Saturday, 15th April, 1905, in a 3-3 draw away to Celtic in the Glasgow League. There were no goals for Charles during his spell with Thistle. He played his last game for the club on Thursday, 11th May, 1905, in a 0-0 draw away to Clyde in a Benefit match, having appeared as a Jag on 5 occasions. His club-list included Partick Thistle and Falkirk. We don't know where or when Charles died. *
