Charles Campbell Fitzsimmons was born on Thursday, 29th December, 1910, in Stirling. The 5' 6½ (11st 4lbs) defender signed for Donald Turner's Thistle on Friday, 28th March, 1930, having most recently been with Alva Albion Rangers. Aged 19, he made his debut appearance on Wednesday, 27th August, 1930, in a 3-3 friendly draw away to King's Park. There were no goals for Charles during his time with Thistle. He played his last game for the club on Saturday, 23rd April, 1932, in a 6-1 defeat at home to Hamilton Academical in the SFL First Division, having appeared as a Jag on 12 occasions. His club-list included Alva Albion Rangers, Partick Thistle, St Bernard's and Alloa Athletic. Charles died in 1988 in Lennoxtown, East Dunbartonshire, aged 77. *
