Bio Extra

Another of John Lambie's highly successful low-key forays into the transfer market. Signed from Hibs in September 1993, he quickly established himself as a regular in the Thistle defence as The Jags staged another of their relegation escape acts from the Premier League. Only scored twice for Thistle, the first an absolute cracker against Dundee United at Tannadice. His total number of appearances for Thistle would have been much greater had it not been for serious knee problems; he played only 4 times in season 94/95. Twice suffered the pain of relegation with Thistle and in the inevitable clear out following the drop at the end of the 97/98 season he was given a free transfer.
