Bobby Bell was born on Wednesday, 20th March, 1935, in Glasgow.

The 5' 6½ (10st 10lbs) forward signed for David Meiklejohn's Thistle on Saturday, 11th April, 1953, having most recently been with Baillieston Juniors.

Aged 19, he made his debut appearance on Thursday, 26th August, 1954, in a 1-1 draw (aet) away to Queen's Park in the Glasgow Cup.

Bobby scored his first goal for Thistle on Tuesday, 21st September, 1954, in a 5-4 win away to Celtic in the Glasgow Cup.

He scored his second and final goal for the club on Saturday, 23rd November, 1957, in a 2-0 win at home to Airdrieonians in the SFL First Division.

He played his last game for Thistle on Monday, 5th May, 1958, in a 2-1 defeat at home to Rangers in the SFL First Division, having appeared as a Jag on 23 occasions.

Bobby's club-list included Baillieston Juniors, Partick Thistle, Plymouth Argyle and Carlisle United.
