William David Paxton was born on Monday, 20th December, 1965, in Edinburgh. The 6' 0 (11st 10lbs) midfielder signed for Billy Lamont's Thistle in August, 1988, having most recently been with Cowdenbeath. Aged 21, he made his debut appearance on Saturday, 29th August, 1987, in a 4-1 defeat away to Clyde in the SFL First Division. There were no goals for Billy during his spell with Thistle. He played his last game for the club on Wednesday, 11th November, 1987, in a 3-1 defeat away to Airdrieonians in the SFL First Division, having appeared as a Jag on 8 occasions. Billy's club-list included Edinburgh United, Cowdenbeath, Partick Thistle and Alloa Athletic. |
