The 5' 11 (11st 7lbs) defender temporarily transferred to Mark Wilson's Thistle on Monday, 4th August, 2025, from his parent club, Celtic. Aged 21, he made his debut appearance on Saturday, 9th August, 2025, in a 1-1 draw at home to Greenock Morton in the SPFL Championship. We look forward to seeing Ben score his first goal for Thistle. ![]() This 21-year-old right back arrived at Firhill in August 2025, on a season-long deal from Celtic. He was capped 14 times for Scotland at U-16 (4), U-19 (5) and U-21 (5) levels and most recently was participating in Brendan Rodgers’ side’s pre-season preparations. He was in the starting line-up for Celtic's 3-2 defeat against Estrela Amadora in Portugal on 12 July 2025, and a week later appeared in the 4-0 victory over Newcastle United at Celtic Park. During the 2023-24 season, Ben spent the campaign on loan with Scottish championship Queen's Park, where he made 26 appearances for the Spiders in all competitions. He was hit by bad luck towards the end of that loan spell, sustaining a severe ACL injury that sidelined him for most of 2024-25. Arriving at Firhill, Ben was already familiar with Josh Clarke and Tsoanelo Letsosa, all having played together with the Celtic B side which won the Glasgow Cup in 2023. |
