Bio Extra

Born in Wrexham, Birch could have represented Wales but chose England and was capped at the under-16 and under-18 levels alongside Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Harry Winks. He has fond memories of facing Spain and of “chasing around Kingsley Coman for 90 minutes” against France. Tragically, in January 2022, he was forced to retire from football, aged 25, due to a hereditary heel condition.
