Bio Extra

Graduated with an honours degree in International Business and Business Law at Heriot Watt University where he was regarded as a stalwart of the men's football club, which he captained. Keeping his options open, he has since continued his studies by undertaking an applied management course via PFA Scotland. Alternative career advancements are for the future though, while he's focused on exploring his footballing potential full-time. His scoring prowess at Heriot Watt (50 competitive goals in 2017-18!) has followed him everywhere. He netted 19 goals in 57 games with East Fife, and was top scorer there in 2018-19. There was a lot of interest in Anton after his performances at New Bayview, and it was Falkirk won the battle for his signature in 2020-21. For Anton, it was the opportunity that he was looking for, signing his first full time contract with an ambitious club. Unfortunately for him, Covid meant that he didn’t get the benefit of full-time training and he never really got into a groove in that curtailed season. A loan spell at Arbroath during the first half of 2021-22 really got him back on track, scoring 5 times in 16 appearances as the Red Lichties hit the heady heights at the top of the SPFL Championship. Much to the disappointment of all at Gayfied, Anton was recalled by Falkirk in January 2022, and netted seven times for the Bairns in the remainder of the campaign. Honouring his earlier pre-contract agreement, the 25-year-old signed a two year deal with Thistle in the summer of 2022.

Anton gained an early reputation as a bit of a super-sub at Thistle, with a healthy goals-per-minute ratio and, unsurprisingly, his last goal for the Jags came as a sub. It's very unusual to see a player come on, score, and then be subbed off, but that's what happened to Anton in that game, a 3-0 Scottish Cup win over Kelty Hearts in November 2022. The goals dried up from then on, with 18 appearances (all but one from the bench) failing to yield a goal. Frustrated and keen for game time, Anton sought a loan move in September 2023, and joined Ayr United for the duration of that season. Almost making a mockery of his situation at Firhill, Anton scored 5 times in his first 6 games for Ayr United! In the close season of 2024, having scored 13 goals in 31 competitive appearances for the Honest Men, Anton permanently signed to a 12 month deal at Somerset Park.
