Andrew Stewart was born on Monday, 2nd January, 1978, in Dumfries. The 6' 1 (12st 4lbs) goalkeeper temporarily transferred to John McVeigh's Thistle on Friday, 29th August, 1997, from his parent club, Dundee United. Aged 19, he made his debut appearance on Saturday, 30th August, 1997, in a 1-1 draw away to Airdrieonians in the SFL First Division. Andy kept his only clean-sheet on Saturday, 1st November, 1997, in a 0-0 draw away to Dundee in the SFL First Division. He played his last game for the club on Saturday, 8th November, 1997, in a 2-1 defeat at home to Airdrieonians in the SFL First Division, having appeared as a Jag on 9 occasions. Andy's club-list included Lochee United, Dundee United, Partick Thistle, East Fife and Dundee North End. |
