Andrew Stewart Gibson was born on Tuesday, 2nd March, 1982, in Glasgow. The 5' 10 (10st 9lbs) midfielder signed for John Lambie's Thistle on Monday, 3rd July, 2000, having most recently been with Partick Thistle Boys Club. Aged 19, he made his debut appearance on Wednesday, 18th July, 2001, in a 5-1 win at home to Alan Morgan Select in a Benefit match. Andy scored his first goal for Thistle on Wednesday, 6th February, 2002, in a 2-1 win away to Dundee in the Scottish Cup. He scored the last of his 4 goals on Saturday, 30th July, 2005, in a 2-0 win at home to Cowdenbeath in the Challenge Cup. He played his last game for the club on Saturday, 10th December, 2005, in a 4-1 win away to Stenhousemuir in the Scottish Cup, having appeared as a Jag on 70 occasions. Andy's club-list included Partick Thistle, Stirling Albion, Stenhousemuir, Stranraer and Glasgow Perthshire. |
