| Andy Roxburgh |
 Andy Roxburgh was born on Thursday, 5th August, 1943, in Glasgow. The 5' 11 (10st 12lbs) forward signed for Willie Thornton's Thistle circa Saturday, 19th June, 1965 (after a trial period), having most recently been with East Stirlingshire Clydebank. Aged 21, he made his debut appearance on Friday, 14th May, 1965, in a 2-0 win at home to Clyde in the Summer Cup. That day, Andy became a member of our scoring debutant's club. He scored the last of his 28 goals on Saturday, 6th April, 1968, in a 2-1 defeat away to Motherwell in the SFL First Division. He played his last game for the club on Saturday, 22nd March, 1969, in a 4-0 defeat at home to Dundee in the SFL First Division, having appeared as a Jag on 76 occasions. Andy's club-list included Queen's Park, East Stirlingshire, Partick Thistle, Falkirk and Clydebank. |
