Andrew Smart Pritchard was born on Sunday, 23rd June, 1912, in Caldercruix, North Lanarkshire.

The 5' 10 (11st 7lbs) forward signed for Donald Turner's Thistle on Wednesday, 17th May, 1933, having most recently been with Ashfield.

Aged 21, he made his debut appearance on Saturday, 12th August, 1933, in a 7-3 win away to Hamilton Academical in the SFL First Division.

Andy scored his first goal for Thistle on Saturday, 19th August, 1933, in a 3-2 defeat at home to Kilmarnock in the SFL First Division.

He scored the last of his 4 goals on Tuesday, 2nd January, 1934, in a 2-2 draw away to Rangers in the SFL First Division.

He played his last game for the club on Saturday, 24th November, 1934, in a 2-1 win at home to St Mirren in the SFL First Division, having appeared as a Jag on 16 occasions.

His club-list included Ashfield, Partick Thistle, Ards, Halifax Town and Clapton Orient.

Andy died in 1999, in Airdrie, North Lanarkshire, aged 87. *
