![]() Andrew started out his footballing journey in the West Lothian juniors before joining Donald Turner's Thistle as the second World War was drawing to a close. He could play in the half back or the forward line, but settled as a left half towards the end of his career. He was always a fringe player as far as the senior game goes, only registering around 20 first team appearances after several years with Thistle, before being freed in April 1950. From there, he spent a year at Second Division Kilmarnock registering half a dozen appearances, before landing in the North East with Montrose late in 1951. |
