Alexander (forename unknown) was probably born in Scotland, although his place and date of birth remain unknown to us. *

The defender first appeared for Thistle in April, 1887.

He made his first known appearance on Saturday, 30th April, 1887, in a 5-1 neutral-venue friendly win against Rangers.

There were no known goals for Alexander during his spell with Thistle.

He played his second (and last known) game for the club on Saturday, 24th March, 1888, in a 4-2 friendly defeat at home to Renton.

His known club-list included only Partick Thistle.
