Alex Stewart was probably born in Scotland, although his place and date of birth remain unknown to us. *

The defender signed for Donald Turner's Thistle on Wednesday, 30th April, 1941, having most recently been with Albion Rovers.

He made his debut appearance on Saturday, 17th February, 1945, in a 6-2 defeat at home to Third Lanark in the Southern League.

There were no goals for Alex during his spell with Thistle.

He played his last game for the club on Wednesday, 24th April, 1946, in a 7-1 win at home to Clachnacuddin in the Victory Cup, having appeared as a Jag on 6 occasions.

Alex's club-list included Dennistoun Waverley, Partick Thistle and Albion Rovers.
