Alexander L. Prior was probably born in Scotland, although his place and date of birth remain unknown to us. *

The defender signed for Donald Turner's Thistle on Friday, 28th July, 1933, having most recently been with Stenhousemuir.

He made his debut appearance on Saturday, 12th August, 1933, in a 7-3 win away to Hamilton Academical in the SFL First Division.

Alex scored his first goal for Thistle on Saturday, 30th September, 1933, in a 4-3 defeat at home to Rangers in the SFL First Division.

He scored his second and final goal for the club on Tuesday, 2nd January, 1934, in a 2-2 draw away to Rangers in the SFL First Division.

He played his last game for Thistle on Saturday, 11th April, 1936, in a 1-1 draw at home to Dundee in the SFL First Division, having appeared as a Jag on 30 occasions.

His club-list included Civil Service Strollers, Stenhousemuir, Partick Thistle and Hibernian.
