Alexander Edward McCall was born on Friday, 3rd September, 1948, in Glasgow. The 5' 10 (11st 0lbs) forward signed for Scot Symon's Thistle on Friday, 11th October, 1968, having most recently been with Kansas City Spurs. Aged 20, he made his only appearance on Saturday, 9th November, 1968, in a 2-0 defeat away to Heart of Midlothian in the SFL First Division. There were no goals for Alex in his one-off appearance for Thistle. Alex's club-list included Arsenal, Motherwell, Kansas City Spurs, Partick Thistle, St Patrick's Athletic, Dundee United, Ayr United, Cumnock Juniors, Blantyre Victoria and Greenock Juniors. |
