![]() This London-born striker made his sole appearance for Watford shortly before his graduation from the club's academy in the summer of 2014. Jakubiak, eligible to play for England, Scotland, or Poland (due to his ancestry) played twice for the Scotland under-19 team that year, making his debut in August; a 2-2 friendly draw against the Czech Republic at Cappielow. With Watford as parent, he has had loan spells at Braintree Town, Oxford United, Dagenham & Redbridge, Fleetwood Town, Wycombe Wanderers, Falkirk, Bristol Rovers, Gillingham and St Mirren. His first taste of the SPFL came with Falkirk in 2018 where he scored seven times in 18 games on loan. In August 2020, after his contract with Watford expired, Jakubiak signed a two-year deal with Dundee in the Scottish Championship. In January 2022, in a bid to boost the promotion quest, Ian McCall brought him to Partick Thistle on loan but it was generally an underwhelming spell, with just a single goal to show for his efforts over 14 games, culminating in a 1-0 defeat away to Inverness Caledonian Thistle in the SPFL Premiership play-offs. His time at Dundee was marked by injury setbacks but culminated in a highlight; he played a key role in their 2022-23 Scottish Championship title win, scoring 10 goals in 30 appearances that season. After leaving Dundee in 2023, he joined Dunfermline Athletic for the 2023-24 season, where he scored twice in 28 appearances. In February 2025, the 28-year-old Jakubiak, by then a free agent, returned to Partick Thistle, signing a deal until the end of the 2024-25 season. |
