 Alex Irvine was probably born in Scotland, although his place and date of birth remain unknown to us. * The forward signed for George Easton's Thistle on Saturday, 1st December, 1906, having most recently been with Quarter Huttonbank. He made his debut appearance on Saturday, 8th December, 1906, in a 3-0 defeat at home to Falkirk in the SFL First Division. There were no goals for Alex during his spell with Thistle. He played his last game for the club on Saturday, 26th January, 1907, in a 1-0 friendly defeat at home to Dundee, having appeared on 3 occasions. His club-list included Quarter Huttonbank, Partick Thistle and Arthurlie. We don't know where or when Alex died. *
