| Alex Elliot |
 Alex C. Elliot was born on Wednesday, 10th January, 1906, in Glasgow. The 5' 7½ (11st 4lbs) defender signed for George Easton's Thistle on Tuesday, 31st May, 1927, having most recently been with Glasgow Perthshire. Aged 21, he made his debut appearance on Saturday, 24th September, 1927, in a 5-2 win at home to Hamilton Academical in the SFL First Division. Alex scored his first goal for Thistle on Saturday, 31st December, 1927, in a 2-2 draw at home to Dundee in the SFL First Division. He scored the last of his 21 goals on Monday, 28th September, 1936, in a 3-0 win at home to Clyde in the Glasgow Cup. He played his last game for the club on Saturday, 27th April, 1940, in a 3-1 defeat away to St Mirren in the Regional League, Western Division, having clocked up a mighty 451 appearances as a Jag. His club-list included Glasgow Perthshire and Partick Thistle. We don't know where or when Alex died. *
