Alexander Allison was born in Haddington, East Lothian, although his date of birth remain unknown to us. *

The 5' 10½ (12st 7lbs) defender signed for George Easton's Thistle on Thursday, 28th June, 1923, having most recently been with Peebles Rovers.

He made his debut appearance on Tuesday, 21st August, 1923, in a 1-0 friendly win at home to Nithsdale Wanderers.

There were no goals for Alex during his spell with Thistle.

He played his second and final game for the club on Tuesday, 20th November, 1923, in a 4-4 draw at home to Glasgow Select in a Benefit match.

His club-list included Haddington Athletic, Peebles Rovers, Rangers, Partick Thistle, Arbroath, St Bernard's, Kettering Town and Chirnside United.
