Alan Logan was born on Saturday, 22nd July, 1961, in Glasgow.

The 5' 6½ (10st 7lbs) forward signed for Benny Rooney's Thistle circa September, 1984, having most recently been with St Mirren.

Aged 23, he made his debut appearance on Saturday, 22nd September, 1984, in a 2-2 draw away to St Johnstone in the SFL First Division.

Alan scored his first goal for Thistle on Saturday, 6th October, 1984, in a 1-0 win at home to Hamilton Academical in the SFL First Division.

He scored the last of his 24 goals on Saturday, 24th October, 1987, in a 4-3 defeat away to Raith Rovers in the SFL First Division.

He played his last game for the club on Saturday, 30th April, 1988, in a 1-0 defeat away to Airdrieonians in the SFL First Division, having clocked up 104 appearances as a Jag.

Alan's club-list included Pollok, St Mirren, Partick Thistle, Queen of the South, Arbroath, Raith Rovers, Montrose and Kilbirnie Ladeside.

Bio Extra

Forward who began his career with Pollok before joining St. Mirren. Signed for Thistle at the beginning of 84/85 season and became a popular player due to his tireless running and hard work. Played regularly for two seasons but missed much of the following two due to injury. Alan joined Raith Rovers during the close season of 1988.
